The
RJ Guitar
Story
RJ Guitars started in 1988
when RJ started making RJ Guitars from a hole-in-the-wall shop with Rudy Disipulo (who can be considered as the Godfather of Philippine guitar luthiers)
In the 1990s, RJ Guitars was able grow into a factory and a chain of Retail shops all over the Philippines.
RJ Guitars started making giant leaps forward through our previous Japanese partners - Joe Yui (former President of Schecter guitars) and later on Kei-san, the founder of Deviser guitars.
Kei-san and Deviser guitars have almost 50 years of experience in guitar manufacturing and makes some of the most well-known guitar brands in Japan like STR, Seventy Seven, Momose and Bacchus. The guitars that they make in their Japanese factories are handmade to the highest quality standards and sell for up to $6,000 USD.
RJ Guitars’ partnership with Kei-san and Deviser helped RJ Guitars to become the 1st Philippine guitar company to launch internationally in the 2016 NAMM show. Our RJ Supervintage 5 Guitars-in-1 was released to rave reviews of long-time international reviewers and publications like The Guitarist from the UK and on Harmony Central USA.
RJ Guitars is most proud of our Philippine craftsmen. Kei-san (along with his finest Japanese luthiers) trained the Philippine craftsmen themselves. Kei also said he was proud of our Filipino craftsmen saying that “the Philippine craftsmen he trained in the Philippines can match the skill of his Japanese craftsmen”.
These craftsmen now hand-make our Custom Shop Philippine Standard guitars and the RJ Supervintage 5-Guitars-in-1 to the highest Japanese Standards.
In our opinion, Japanese quality guitars are second only to the USA.
